We have continued to deliver to Wavecrest, Hout Bay Educare and Little Angels in Hangbberg with a total of 252 children ranging in age from as young as 1 year to school going age of 6 years.
In Imizamo Yethu (our informal settlement) we have continued to supply larger creches such as Siyazama, Seluncedo, Noluthando, Angels and Starfish with 260 children in total.
But we have been working hard to include 12 smaller creches run from shacks and/or houses in really poor areas of Imizamo Yethu.
We noticed that a balanced diet was sadly lacking with some of the children eating nothing but a bowl of boiled white rice for breakfast.
Since then…after explaining carefully about the preparation and quantity and nutritional value of e’Pap…we delivered e’Pap to them.”
