Here are a few more pictures from Patrick’s visit earlier this year, which tell more of the GRCT story.
Missionvale, near Port Elizabeth (below) was as good as ever and the staff are brimming with ideas about how to do more for the community.
Two Irish nuns, Sister Martha (pictured) and Sister Breda, head up the Place of Mercy and Hope in Addo. It is a very fitting name as it is an oasis in an area of great need.
In a poor part of Walmer Township, the teachers at a creche and pre-school where e’Pap is funded have to walk more than a quarter of a mile to fetch water from a standpipe, and the toilet is a pit latrine which has been dug in the back “garden.” e’Pap is important everywhere but especially in places like this.
We have partnered with John Masiza in Walmer Township for many years. The John Masiza feeding works like clockwork under the watchful eye of cook Valencia who clearly enjoys mixing the e’Pap and dishing it out to the appreciative children.
