Catherine Boobbyer reports from Vryberg this month, bringing us up to date with the feeding programme which is run by Tiger Kloof School:
e’Pap feeding has now started in earnest. The children are given a cup of it to drink as, after a few experiments, this seems to be the way they like it best. They have a cup of e’Pap which they must drink before they have their ‘normal’ food! We are seeing huge numbers of children particularly under 5’s – quite often between 100 and 150 children turn up each time.
The accompanying photos show the children enjoying a meal following their e’Pap. The chairs on which they are sitting are a recent purchase. Volunteers (including Tiger Kloof School pupils) assist the children during each session.
